Friendship and Collaboration

Make an educated guess… 🤔

What is likely to happen when freelance intercultural trainers working for the same training company meet virtually for a joint project?

A) They will compete with each other to individually make the best possible impression on the training company in order to get more work.

B) They carry out the collaborative project with a pain in the neck, happy to finish without serious damage to their names.

C) They transform into a team, openly share their experiences and end their collaboration by achieving the set goals.

D) They meet in person and continue their collaboration on other topics after the formal end of the project.

Of course, depending on your personality, any of these possibilities can happen.

For me, C and D were the predominant experiences.
I can count myself lucky to have met open-minded, trustworthy and cooperative colleagues during a number of collaborative projects initiated by ICUnet.Group, Yue Pan-Donath. 🙏

But the journey doesn’t end there.

Last week I finally met Caisa Börjesson in person. 🥂

We attended a two-day experiential learning workshop run by METALOG training tools.
We walked in the shoes of our customers, experienced struggles with communication, trust and teamwork, and tested our inclusivity and openness.

Lessons learned from the workshop: emotions and personal involvement greatly increase the learning effect if the activity is well chosen and fulfils the purpose.

On top of that, Italian food and wine on German sole 🇩🇪 is a great basis for developing Polish-Swedish 🇵🇱 🇸🇪friendship and cooperation! TBC…
